Discipleship

  • Discipleship

Many churches try to do discipleship on a 1-1 basis.

Our church takes a different approach.  Our model is Jesus Christ. He taught the 12 (original disciples) as a group, related with them personally, and showed them the importance of personal devotion to God.

The church has been commissioned to do the same.  So, instead of 1-1, we approach the discipleship ministry as a community (the body of Christ).  No individual can do what Jesus did; however, the church (that is empowered by the Holy Spirit) has been commissioned to do the impossible.  God has gifted people in different ways.

The church will teach the important truths; there will be personal relationships and accountability in pairs; and everyone will be required to nurture their personal walk with the Lord through spiritual disciplines.

    ——

Our hope is that the church (the body of Christ) partners together to fulfill the greatest mandate given by Jesus Christ which is to make disciples. Our hope and prayer is that many would unite together for this eternal purpose.

We have a total of 28 classes that are divided into 4 semesters: 7 classes per semester. Topics will vary each semester.
